Christmas vignette, a little late...

I never had the time to show you some of my Christmas decorations last month.  Even though it's way late to do so, I am sitting on my little indoor sun porch with the cats watching the snow we should have had a month ago.  Poor Klondike is just sitting there winking at me - she has a cold and her sinuses are all plugged up and swollen.
Ahh, cute kitty!
This is a little display I made above my craft storage bookshelf... I hung up the lids of some of my vintage Christmas gift boxes and cut out some trees from the pages of an old book.  I found the little crocheted things at the thrift store.

Enjoy the snow!

Happy New Year! From the Kitties.

Poor Jack always looks bored.
He's cute though.

I got a new camera for camera for Christmas, so you can guess that there will be quite a few pictures of my cats on the blog from here on out.  They are the cutest thing I have to take pictures of!

More pictures of Klondike to come...

What I have been up to - new kitty update!

Yes, we have a new kitty, and despite the fact that she has peed on my Christmas tree skirt FOUR TIMES since we got her, she is still pretty darn cute.

Her name is Klondike.

She is a barn kitty from Mr. KnickityKnack's grandparent's farm.

She loves to sit near the radiators where it is toasty warm, and sneeze all over my couch.  Klondike has a little cold which she hasn't been able to kick yet, so until she does I guess I will be continually wiping the boogers off the furniture.  I still can't believe the amount of snot this little thing produces.

Well, she says Merry Christmas to you all!

Jack Got a Hair Cut!

In the weeks prior to Jack's haircut, he had looked pretty pathetic.  He spent all day laying around the apartment like in the photo above, except with his arms stretched out as far as they would go above his head, probably in an effort to air his body out in the heat.  He was coughing up a bunch of hairballs and pretty much just miserable, so I finally took him in for a grooming.

Now he sits around the apartment in normal cat positions, and seems pretty happy.  Occasionally, he still likes to lay on his back and stretch out, and now it's even cuter:

The only downside of having him groomed is that I think he get's confused more often about his tail.  He chases it all the time and tries to bite it - I guess he doesn't recognize his own self!

Farm Kitties!

Hello!

I spent Memorial Day weekend visiting Boyfriend's grandparents house up in Wisconsin. It was pretty fun. As you can see, I befriended a kitty. He pretty much followed us everywhere as we walked around the farm.

I befriended a kitty last year as well, and almost brought him home.   We were in love.  I tried to find him this year, but apparently he died...

RIP Kitty
That's Boyfriend's cousin in the picture giving bunny ears to the kitty.  She was really into bunny ears last year.

But life goes on and the orange little guy was pretty spunky. Here's his brother:
